Lumina Corps

Lumina Corps is seeking a Director of Accounting and Contracts Administration to support our growth as a professional services firm serving high-profile federal public health clients. Ideal candidates will have experience leading accounting functions and contracts administration specifically for federal government contracts. Candidates should be capable of leading a team and working independently on each function of accounting and contracts administration. The Director of Accounting and Contracts Administration will collaborate with senior leadership of Lumina Corps to develop processes to streamline and modernize operations and prepare the company for increased growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead all accounting functions including AR responsibility and supervision of AP and payroll activities.
  • Ensure compliant time and expense procedures.
  • Leverage Deltek Costpoint for accounting processes and report generation for senior management.
  • Bank statement reconciliation and merchant account management.
  • Review new contracts and contract modifications, ensure accurate set-up of new contracts and modifications in Deltek Costpoint.
  • Monitor contracts and subcontracts; support close-out, extension, modifications, and renewal as appropriate.
  • Support project directors in monitoring for compliance, payment provisions, contract data reporting requirements, and other contractual matters.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders in service to business operations and client management needs which may include special projects and new initiatives.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience in accounting and contracts administration
  • At least 3-5 years of management and operations experience
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint
  • Experience in a professional services consulting environment serving federal government clients
  • Ability to work independently to identify challenges, propose solutions and to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Positive, solutions-oriented mindset, able to be flexible to take on large or small tasks as needs arise.

This is a full-time position with benefits. Hybrid schedules are permitted; candidates must be able to work at least part-time from the Lumina Corps headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland, and can work part-time from home.
